Water pumps are responsible for keeping coolant flowing into the engine. It is possibly the most important part of the cooling system. Water pumps have several signs that they are beginning to fail. Water pumps have a weep hole that is normally sealed by the gasket. As the pump begins to fail the gasket will begin to leak allowing coolant to leak from the weep hole. If you see this replace your Mini's water pump immediately.
